What's the dirt on clean vinyl records? DIY vinyl record cleaner to make at home

Clean vinyl record's sound better.

Not only do clean records play best, they will last longer too. When properly cared for, a vinyl record can last a lifetime.
The first, of two main methods to clean record albums would be hand held, manually. A damp fabric pad in one hand touches the record surface while the record is physically turned at the edge or center of the record. Another method requires a manual reservoir tank unit with brushes, or electric wet brush version with vacuum.
Regardless of the style of record cleaner, all versions need the same thing, record cleaning fluid.

The following DIY recipe is almost entirely distilled water (H2O) but does contain other over the counter ingredients. Adult supervision and care is needed when mixing up a batch or cleaning your dirty records. Carefully read all manufacturers MSDS in advance of use for the rubbing alcohol, dish soap, or photo processing solution. Follow all manufacturers proper use and safety guidelines for the record cleaner you possess.
